What is Liposuction?

Liposuction, commonly referred to as "lipo" is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that removes excess fat deposits from specific areas of the body improving your body contours and proportion.

Vita Nova Aesthetics and Hormone Replacement we perform Laser-assisted liposuction "Smart-Lipo" in combination with Tumescent liposuction in order to achieve outstanding results. During the procedure a sterile solution of ringer’s Lactate mixed with Lidocaine and epinephrine is injected into the area where the fat is to be removed. The solution numbs the area and reduces bleeding thus makes it easier to suction the fat with minimal pain or bleeding. The addition of Laser-assisted liposuction, in which a laser it utilized to produce a burst of energy to liquefy the fat makes the process of fat extraction and harvesting even more efficient and less traumatic and adds a component of skin tightening in order to enhance the results of the procedure.

What is Lipo-sculpting?

Lipo-Sculpting is the process of enhancing certain areas of the body by removing fat from one area and when needed, re-injecting fat back into another area in order to shape and accentuate the area or correct anatomical deficiencies that were previously present or as a result of aging. What should I expect?

Your liposuction will take place at our facilities.
The procedure is ambulatory. This means that you will go home the day of the procedure.
Before your liposuction starts, the doctor will mark the areas of your body that will be treated and will also take photos to use later for before-and-after comparisons.
Next you'll receive “local,” which means you will be awake but not feel any pain.
The procedure last between 90 and 180 minutes depending

how long is the recovery?

You will be able to go home immediately after the procedure.
You should expect bruising, swelling, and soreness for at least a few weeks.
Your will be required to wear a compression garment for 1 to 2 months after surgery to control swelling and assist with the contouring of your body.
You will also have to take some antibiotics to prevent infection.
Most people can return to work within a few days and get back to normal activities within 2 weeks. But every person is different.
